MR. AHMED A.R. BUHARI

A visionary entrepreneur, Mr Ahmed A.R. Buhari graduated from Bentley College in Boston with a Degree in Marketing and then completed a Masters Degree in Shipping, Trading and Finance from City University-CASS Business School in London. Recognizing an early-on opportunities in the energy industry, he stepped out from ETA-Ascon Group (a conglomerate in Middle East and India that was run by his family) and established the Coal & Oil Group.

Motivated by a sense of duty to his mother land, he led the Group to become the one of the India’s largest coal importers, Tamil Nadu’s largest private power plant and is currently setting up industrial parks along the 120 km Madurai-Tuticorin Industrial Corridor. And, according to Forbes magazine, he is the one of the top Indian leaders of Arab world.

Besides to carrying the business to greater heights, Mr Ahmed Buhari also plays a significant part in promoting entrepreneurship. He now leads the United Economic Forum which works to improve the socio-economic status of the community in Tamil Nadu, with a focus on youth and tomorrow’s leaders. He is Advisor for IMPROF, an uprising social group in Singapore that houses many aspiring entrepreneurs. He is Chairman of Tuticorin Development Board (An association of four leading business chambers), Founder and Managing Trustee for the Kilakarai City Development Trust, Member of Management Board of BS Abdur Rahman University.

He enjoys Cycling, Deep Sea Diving, endurance Horse Riding and Cooking.

MR. P.K.SEN

Mr P.K. Sen is a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from Jadavpur, Calcutta, and then did a post graduate in Fuel Technology from Paisley, Scotland. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, India.

Mr Sen has been a member of the Board of Directors at renowned companies such as, Babcock & Wilcox of India, Thermax, Thermax Babcock & Wilcox, etc. He was a consultant to the Government of Canada and on their behalf carried out RMU study (Renovation, Modernization & Upgrade study) of Indian thermal power plants. He has also been a consultant to World Bank and advisor to many engineering Companies like Babcock Borsig, Bechtel Consulting, etc.

With nearly 30 years of experience with Babcock and Wilcox (UK) group, he brings extensive technical expertise and experience to the Group. His total years of experience in this field spans over 50 years.
